The Primare PRE35 Prisma is the PRE35 supplied with the DM36 converter and the SM35 Prisma network module fitted, so it acts as preamplifier, DAC and streamer in one chassis. Balanced XLR outputs feed a power amplifier, and a WiSA output is also available for sending audio wirelessly to compatible active speakers.

This is the piece that makes a separates system simple again. Feed it an A35.2 and a pair of speakers and the system is finished, with a phono stage the only obvious thing left to add. It is not cheap, but the equivalent in three boxes costs more and takes up more shelf. The plain PRE35 remains the better buy only if you already own a streamer you have no plans to replace.

Pro Tip: The WiSA output is worth remembering for a second system. It can drive compatible active speakers in another room while the balanced outputs continue to run the main power amplifier.
