The SB-2000 Pro is the sealed answer to the question of where to put a serious subwoofer in a room that cannot swallow a ported box. A 12-inch aluminium-cone driver on a dual toroidal ferrite motor sits in a heavily braced sealed cabinet barely more than a foot each way, driven by a 550 watt RMS Sledge amplifier that peaks past 1,500 watts. It reaches 19 Hz, and because it is sealed the roll-off below that is gentle, so rooms typically give it another two or three hertz for free.

Sealed alignment buys you transient behaviour a ported box has to work hard for. Kick drums stop when the drummer stops, bass lines keep their pitch, and the low end stays tied to the music rather than trailing behind it. For two-channel listening in particular, this is the SVS most people should be auditioning.

Setup runs over Bluetooth from the SVS smartphone app: three bands of parametric EQ, a low pass filter adjustable in 1 Hz steps with four selectable slopes, room gain compensation, continuously variable phase and three saveable presets. The rear panel mirrors the app in real time, so you can dial it in from the listening seat and still read the settings from the back of the cabinet.
