Ortofon Hi-Fi Concorde Music Bronze Moving Magnet Cartridge

High-Res Vinyl, Zero Fuss

The Ortofon Concorde Music Bronze is the high-detail step in the Concorde Music range, a cartridge and headshell in one iconic body that plugs straight into any bayonet tonearm. Its nude Fine Line stylus digs deeper into the groove than the Blue's, revealing more detail and texture, all with the same tool-free, no-alignment fitting the Concorde is famous for.

Why You'll Love It

• Fits in seconds, no tools: The integrated Concorde design clips straight onto a bayonet tonearm and comes correctly aligned, so there's none of the fiddly mounting, wiring or alignment a normal cartridge needs.

• Insightful, high-resolution sound: A nude Fine Line stylus traces the groove with more precision than an elliptical, pulling out fine detail, texture and air, a clear step up from the Concorde Music Blue.

• Upgrade by swapping the stylus: Every Concorde Music stylus fits every Concorde Music body, so you can step up right to the Black LVB 250 without replacing the cartridge.

Under the Hood

• Nude Fine Line stylus: The Fine Line profile has a finer contact area than an elliptical, so it reads more of the groove's high-frequency detail and tracks with lower distortion and wear, on an aluminium cantilever.

• Integrated Concorde body: The award-winning one-piece design puts the cartridge and headshell in a single unit, pre-aligned and balanced, for a plug-and-play fit on bayonet tonearms.

• A whole upgrade path: Because the stylus is the only part you change, the Concorde Music range gives you a clear route to better sound over time.

CHT Insider Verdict

The Concorde Music Bronze is for the vinyl listener who wants serious detail without the fuss of mounting a bare cartridge. Its Fine Line stylus is a real step up from the Blue, and it's the sweet spot of the Concorde Music range for most people: plenty of resolution, still tool-free to fit. If you want the very best, the Black and Black LVB 250 go further; if you have a standard half-inch tonearm, the 2M Bronze is the equivalent.

Pro Tip: A Fine Line stylus rewards accurate setup. Set the tracking force carefully to Ortofon's recommendation and clean the stylus regularly with a soft brush, and it will both sound its best and last longer than a cheaper elliptical.
