The Nerthus is the top of Barco Residential and the largest DMD in any home projector: three 1.38" DC4K chips, native 4096 × 2160, RGB laser at 32,000 lumens with 100% Rec.2020 colour and a 40,000-hour light source. It is a Series 4 commercial cinema projector, with the Alchemy ICMP-X media block, specified for a private screening room with a screen of 8 to 12 metres.
Cinema at Home
Installed and maintained by Barco-certified engineers as a condition of warranty. CHT is certified; installation, commissioning, calibration and the annual maintenance visit are quoted as part of the project. The Nerthus weighs 170 kg and runs at 51 dB(A): it needs a projection room, structural mounting and dedicated power, all of which we plan with your builder.
Lens
Supplied with the VHC HDR 1.35–1.84:1. Five VHC HDR lenses cover 1.13:1 to 3.40:1 at no extra charge; lens is specified against the room.
Where it sits
There is nothing above it in a residential range. If the screen is under 8 metres, the Freya+ delivers the same platform and colour at half the light and a fraction of the mass, and is usually the right answer.
Supplied, installed and calibrated by CHT
CHT Solutions is an authorised Barco Residential dealer and Barco-certified for installation. Every Barco we supply is specified for the room, installed by us, aligned to the screen and RealColor-calibrated on site. Price is quoted per project: lens, colour wheel, mount, installation and calibration all move it, which is why there is no number on this page. Tell us the room and we will tell you the number.
