The Freya is where Barco Residential stops being a home-theatre product and becomes a cinema product. It is built on Barco's Series 4 platform, the same three-chip native 4K RGB laser architecture that runs commercial screens, with Barco's Alchemy ICMP-X media block on board. Three 0.98" DC4K DMDs, 4096 × 2160 native, RGB laser at 100% Rec.2020, 7,500 lumens. The Freya+ is the same projector at 13,500 lumens.

Cinema at Home

The Freya and Nerthus are Barco's "Cinema at Home" series. They are installed and maintained by Barco-certified engineers, which is a condition of the warranty, not an option: CHT is certified, and the annual maintenance visit is part of the ownership plan we quote with the projector. Expect a projection room: the Freya draws real power and runs at 50 dB(A).

Lens

Supplied with the TLD+ VHC 1.50–2.00:1 (C lens holder). VHC HDR lenses from 1.13:1 to 3.40:1 are available on the B lens holder; lens holder and lens are specified with the room.

Where it sits

Native 4K, RGB laser and Rec.2020 at brightness the single-chip range cannot reach. It is HDMI 2.0a (4K60), so it is a film projector, not a 4K120 gaming projector; for that, the Heimdall. Above it, the Nerthus.
