The Bragi is the entry to Barco Residential and the only projector in the range with an RGB LED light source. Three colour LEDs instead of a laser and a phosphor wheel: no wheel noise, no rainbow, colour that does not drift, and a light engine rated to around 50,000 hours. It is the projector for a media room or a compact dedicated cinema where the screen is up to about 3 metres wide and the room is dark.

16:9 or Cinemascope

The standard Bragi drives a 16:9 4K UHD image. The Bragi Cinemascope maps the same DMD to a native 2.37:1 image (5120 × 2160) so a scope screen is filled edge to edge with no anamorphic lens and no lens memory; 16:9 content is shown pillarboxed at full height. Choose Cinemascope if the room is film-first and the screen is scope.

Lens

Supplied with the FLDX EN61 lens (1.70–2.50:1 throw). Six other FLDX lenses cover 0.38:1 ultra-short-throw to 4.60:1 long throw; we specify the lens against the room.

Where it sits

The step into Barco: cinema-grade optics, colour stability and light-source life in the smallest, quietest chassis of the range. If you want more light in the same footprint, look at the Balder. If you want native 4K, HDMI 2.1 and 4K120, look at the Heimdall.
