The Pro-Ject E1 Phono Turntable with Pick It MM E Cartridge is a plug and play deck that is handmade in Europe and ready to play straight out of the box. Its built-in phono preamplifier means you can connect it to active speakers or to an amplifier that has no phono input. Tracking force and anti-skating are pre-set at the factory, so setup takes only minutes.

Under the Hood

Pick It MM E cartridge. A low mass neodymium generator improves tracking accuracy, while the conical diamond tip delivers warm, smooth reproduction with low background noise.
8.6" aluminium tonearm. The lightweight, low-friction arm keeps the stylus steady across the record.
Resonance-controlled build. A CNC-machined composite fibre plinth and an ABS polymer platter with acoustic ridges provide a stable, anti-resonant foundation.

The E1 Phono is the version to choose if your amplifier lacks a phono input or you run active speakers. You get the same handmade European build and Pick It MM E cartridge as the standard E1, plus the convenience of an internal phono stage. For a first turntable, or a return to vinyl, it is a tidy and honest performer.

Pro Tip: Because the phono stage is built in, connect the E1 Phono to a line-level input such as AUX or CD on your amplifier, not the PHONO input, to avoid running the signal through two phono stages.
