Fade to Black
A blacked-out dedicated cinema, engineered so the room disappears and only the picture remains.
See it your way.
Every commission is judged on two fronts: how it looks and lives, and how it performs. Switch between the two below.
A picture built for the room
A wide cinemascope screen fills the front wall, driven by a ceiling-mounted projector calibrated to the room, so films arrive at the scale and shape their makers intended.
Darkness by design
Blackout finishes, low-reflectance surfaces and a light-sealed entry keep stray light off the screen, so black stays black and the picture holds its contrast.
Ten seats, every one a good one
Two tiered rows of powered leather recliners, the rear row raised on a riser, place every guest with a clean, level view of the screen.
A ceiling of stars
A fibre-optic star field overhead sets the scene as the lights fall and quietly dims the edges of the room away.
A true dedicated cinema for the whole family: a big, wide picture, room for ten, and simple enough to use on a weeknight.
The owners wanted the real thing rather than a television in a dark room: a single-purpose cinema with a wide, cinematic picture and comfortable seating for the whole family, finished and simple enough to use any night of the week. The room had to be dark, quiet and built around the screen, so picture and sound arrive exactly as intended.
A room that fades to black.
Measured first
The space was assessed before any finish was chosen, so seating, sightlines and acoustic treatment were driven by the room rather than fitted around it.
Sealed for black
Every surface was chosen to control light and reflection: a fully blacked-out shell, low-sheen finishes and a light-sealed entry door.
Built as one room
Screen, projection, seating, acoustic treatment, the star ceiling and lighting were installed and integrated together, not assembled piecemeal.
Set to reference
Picture and sound were calibrated on completion and set to recall at the touch of a keypad.
